As with any business that cares about what they do, GIST believes that quality work is the only way to give us both what we're looking for: the clean and organized space you want, the business we need, and a good mutual client relationship that works for both of us. You can always expect our best work.
INDIVIDUAL NEEDS
Every house, project room, garage or business space is uniquely structured and purposed. More importantly: so are the people who live, work, or store their stuff there. A clean, organized space means nothing without the people who use it!
Every person has their own individual needs - and whether they are personal or functional, GIST works with and around those needs. Whether it's getting the weekly sweep-mop-and-dust done so you have one less thing on your plate, or helping you declutter years of mess from top to bottom (or anywhere in between), GIST has your back.
COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH
When trying to tackle any mess in life, it's important to look at it from all angles. Cleaning is no different.
You're looking at this page for a reason.
Maybe that reason is, "I need someone to sweep and mop my whole house once a week, because I don't have time. Also I really love having clean floors." Great! Simple cause: lack of time. Simple solution: GIST cleans your floors.
But maybe that reason is, "I feel like I'm drowning in mess all the time. I can't focus because the mess is so distracting. I can never seem to keep up on even keeping it reasonably clean, let alone organized. I don't even remember the last time I felt good about my space. It's been years;"
or,
"I can't implement policy changes or efficiency practices for my business or department that stick; they always get tied up in old routines, or lost in the daily shuffle, and neither I or my staff have time to dedicate to organizing or overhauling all these old systems."
Problems like these tend to build up, despite our best and constant efforts, because there are factors at play in your life or business that get buried under the mess they helped create. Sometimes we can't see them; or in order to be fixed they have to be tackled all in one go, which most of us don't have time for.
GIST uses intuitive thinking and the business practice of Root Cause Analysis to look at your unique mess - and more importantly, your unique goals - and figure out how to get you to where you want to be.

How It Started
It all started with a dream.(And a nightmare.)
The nightmare was my house. The dream was keeping it clean, organized, and less likely to make me lose all motivation when I walked through the door.​ It's not that I didn't clean - in fact, it felt like I was always cleaning, to the point where it felt like I didn't have room to take care of the rest of my life.
The long and short of it is: I know how it feels (as most of us do) to be stressed and depleted by the never-ending daily mess. I also know how it feels to be drowning in that mess. Most importantly, I know the sense of relief, control, and ease that it can bring to have that mess off of your mind, and off of your shoulders. ​
Self-started and self-run, GIST is a small cleaning and consultation service, with a goal driven by that understanding: to help you feel that same sense of relief, control, and ease. ​

My name is Dustin Sipes, and I am the sole proprietor of GIST Cleaning.

I started this business because I know what it feels like to be on the other end of the services I want to provide. To be never quite able to keep up; to be surrounded by mess; to have a busy life and busier brain that made it hard to form effective habits around cleaning or organizing; and to have no idea where to even start.
​
I have always loved organizing, rearranging, and freshening things up. There are few sights that make me sigh in satisfaction more than a clean, well-arranged room. While this is my first attempt at making cleaning and organizing my primary focus in employment, both my career history and personal life have strengthened, honed and expanded my natural talents in these areas - and I am excited to bring all that knowledge and experience to bear for you!
